AURA Privacy Policy

Effective August 22, 2026 | Version 1.2

This Privacy Policy explains how Asian Sparrow LLC ("Asian Sparrow," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use AURA Gesture Music ("AURA" or the "App").

Plain-language summary: Camera images, hand landmarks, Wave recordings, performances, and instrument settings stay on your device. The free Android edition uses Google AdMob for limited advertising, and RevenueCat processes purchase records for the optional ad-free upgrade. Neither service receives your camera images, gestures, or recordings.

1. Camera and hand tracking

AURA requests camera permission only to detect hand position and gestures for musical control. Camera frames are processed in temporary device memory by the locally bundled hand-tracking model. AURA does not record, save, upload, transmit, or share camera frames. Derived hand landmarks are used temporarily for the current performance and are not transmitted to Asian Sparrow.

2. Information stored on your device

AURA stores preferences such as instrument, gesture, tracking, volume, effects, layout, legal-consent status, and Wave pad settings in local app storage. Optional Wave recordings are stored in the App's local recording database. These items remain on your device.

3. Microphone and Wave recordings

AURA requests microphone permission only after you select a Wave pad, choose Record, review the recording disclosure, and confirm. A conspicuous red indicator remains visible while recording. AURA stores the resulting audio locally so you can replay, loop, trim, change speed, or bind it to a pad. AURA does not upload or transmit those recordings.

You can delete one recording with Clear Pad, delete every Wave recording with Delete All Recordings, clear the App's local storage through device settings, or uninstall AURA. Microphone permission can be revoked in the device's privacy settings. You are responsible for obtaining permission from anyone whose voice or sound you record.

4. Advertising and privacy choices

The free Android edition uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide opt-in rewarded ads and occasional interstitial ads at natural performance breaks. AURA does not use banner or app-open ads, and it does not intentionally request an ad while notes, a festival song, or a Wave recording are active.

Google may automatically collect and share an IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app interactions such as launches, taps, and ad views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents consent choices before ads are requested. A Privacy Choices control appears in AURA Settings when Google requires it. Device-level ad-personalization controls are also available in Android settings.

5. Ad-free purchase

AURA offers an optional one-time ad-free purchase through Google Play. Google Play processes payment information. RevenueCat receives and processes an anonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement identifiers, purchase history, store, platform, locale, currency, and related transaction status to validate the purchase and restore the ad-free entitlement. AURA does not provide RevenueCat with your camera images, hand landmarks, Wave recordings, or musical performance.

You can use Restore Purchase in Settings. For a RevenueCat record deletion request, contact us at support@asiansparrow.com. Deletion may remove RevenueCat's customer record but does not delete transaction records that Google must retain or remove a valid purchase from your Google account.

6. Information not sent by AURA

7. Local processing and third-party services

The mobile App bundles its hand-tracking model, WebAssembly runtime, instrument recordings, and application code locally. It does not require an Asian Sparrow server to perform gesture recognition or audio synthesis. AURA includes MediaPipe Tasks Vision and FluidR3_GM audio samples, which run locally. Advertising is provided under the Google Privacy Policy, and purchase validation is provided under the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

8. Platform services and security

Apple, Google, the operating system, and the app store may independently process purchase, download, crash, advertising, or device information under their own terms and privacy policies. Network data used by AdMob and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit. Asian Sparrow does not receive camera frames or gesture data through those services.

9. Children

AURA is a general-audience creative instrument and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect camera images, recordings, or other personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise younger users, privacy choices, camera placement, listening volume, purchases, and physical movement.

10. Retention and deletion

Local preferences and recordings remain until you delete them, clear App storage, or uninstall AURA. AdMob and RevenueCat retain data under their policies and applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of a RevenueCat customer record associated with AURA. We may need transaction details from you to locate the correct anonymous record.

11. Policy changes

We may update this policy when AURA's features or legal obligations change. The effective date and version at the top identify the current policy. Material changes will be presented in the App or store listing when appropriate.
